Welcome to this edition of the weekly newsletter. The idea behind this activity is to gather all the information in the startup ecosystem in one place, with a special focus on the fintech market.
While we approach the last third of the quarter, we can already sum up which were the main topics lately, that will probably stay with us until the end of the year. The fintech market is still experiencing an hard winter, while AI is still on the crest of the wave. We also saw some very interesting hardware product.
Let’s take a look at what happened this week and who is looking for capital to raise:
Humane™ released a very interesting device, built around AI, hoping to replace the smartphone;
Yellow has just raised $30 million to invest in southern Europe. This is not the first VC to focus on this area recently, with 2100 Ventures doing something similar in Italy;
Robinhood is finally coming to Europe? The popular US based trading platform just opened a legal entity in UK and is set to launch crypto trading in EU;
The New York based startup Imprint is trying to innovate the credit card market, closing a $75 millions funding round;
Levenue just closed a $8 millions funding round, and is also announcing the acquisition of Cake;
Airbnb acquired the AI startup GamePlanner.AI, for a report amount of $200 millions.
Commerzbank AG is the first bank in Germany to apply for a crypto license.
Lynx Tech just closed a $18 millions funding round led by Forgepoint Capital, to boost is fraud prevention technology based on AI;
VersiFi just closed his first series A, bringing home $10 millions for international expansion;
Razorpay is trying to come back to India, in a merge with his Indian entity that could end up in a whooping $250 millions tax bill;
The Canadian payment processor Nuvei is set to acquire the Aussie pay tech Till Payments for $30.5 million;
Nexi Group is closing a partnership with Compass Banca S.p.A. - Gruppo Mediobanca to introduce BNPL to Pos payments.

PopulaRise - The platform that allows companies of every dimension to promote themselves on social media through the collaboration with their clients. B2B2C SaaS. Raising $1M.
Cents - Fintech companies that allow corporate to include charity payments on their checkout. B2B SaaS. Raising $1M.
Bitcoin People - Fintech company focused on crypto payments between corporate and cross countries. B2B, SaaS. Raising $500k.
Tutornow - Edtech that provides an online tutoring platform for students with learning disorders. Raising $500k to $1M.
Recivu - Fintech startup trying to digitize the receipt flow by getting rid of papers. Looking for $150k in SAFE, already $50k committed.
Weagle - B2B Tech startup that provides the very first browser designed for company, with total security for sensitive data. Raising $6 millions for their seed round.
Reach Finance - Reach is the fintech platform for wealth accumulation for the Y&Z generations, they provide users with the tools to build wealth such as a budget tracker, a financial plan and a systematization of investments. Looking for $700k, with already $500k committed.
